Gregory Lamarr Perry is a native of Henderson, North Carolina in Vance County.  After graduating from The Asheville School in Asheville, NC, he enrolled at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and African American Studies.  He attended North Carolina Central School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree.  He has worked for WorldCom Communications, the State of North Carolina and has been in the private practice of law. 

After moving to the area in 2007, he has been a member of the Hertford County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council,  Northampton County's Facility and Security Committee,  Northampton County’s NAACP, and Jackson Square Lodge #700.  He has served as the Legal Redress Chair for Northampton County’s NAACP, Vice President and President of the Halifax County Bar Association, Hertford County’s Attorney Advocate for the Guardian Ad Litem Program, and the Adult Protective Services Attorney for Hertford County’s Department of Social Services. 

Kanter Searcy Morris is a Halifax County native. Graduated from Roanoke Rapids High in 1998.  Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Campbell University in 2002 with a Batchelor of Arts degree in Government and a minor in Spanish.  Graduated from the Campbell University Norman A. Wiggins School of Law in 2005.  After a year of practice in Harnett County, she joined the Halifax County District Attorney's Office in June of 2006 and worked there until February of 2012.  Kanter has one child, Adam.

Bettina Roberts Flood was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.  After graduating from Northwest Halifax High School, she received her undergraduate degree in Financial Management and Accounting from Clemson University in South Carolina.  After spending a few years in the banking industry, Bettina decided to return to school, eventually receiving her Juris Doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.  Upon becoming licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina, Bettina moved back home to begin her legal career.  Bettina is married to Joseph Flood, also of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and together they have two beautiful children - son Jody and daughter Emma.
